Burglar Busted

When it rains The Solomonster prefers the safety of the outdoor environment and his hiding area that is the crawl-space under my Florida room. Last Thursday it rained and then Friday morning it poured. He would not come in. Not even for his favorite bribery treat. So he stayed outside all day even when he would come out for my lunch visit.

My dog is a loving wuss. But, if you are not invited, knows I don't like you, or something just ain't right about you; he's very protective. I think the property protectiveness was working on Friday.

I found the back gate open, but not enough for a person (or my dog) to get through. It was only wide enough for a person to have second thoughts about coming into the yard.

I think my pink panther burglar got busted by Inspector Solomonster. But truth be told, the burglar, had he/she gotten inside; would have been sadly disappointed in his haul.

I may look like the troublemaker of the pack, but it turns out my tough guy mug is worse than its bite. I'm really a softie, loyal to my friends and family and A-OK with meeting new pooches, but I prefer to do so with a high-five instead of a paw-shake. Proud of my great sense of humor, I have got a whole litter of jokes I draw from to keep the mood playful and the positive energy alive. A perfect afternoon for my involves a leisurely stroll with a pal, followed by a little downtime in an easy chair with a frosty can of brew and a remote control within easy fetching distance. I shed accusations of being lazy, knowing perfectly well that I'm kenneling the energy I might need for... well... something.

That explains a lot. Solomon went to the Vet today and had to have his anal-glands expressed. He's feeling so much better. *here's to you little buddy - ya freak*

I'm not a professional dog groomer. A fact that my own dog is well aware. He does not appreciate being brushed but will be tolerant. Then I discovered that he enjoys being buzzed down. He comes running when I pull out the clippers. Tonight was that night. Man - he has a triple thick coat of dense fur, but it's so soft I almost want to make a pillow out of it. But I'll forgo that itchiness. I have enough fur on my living room floor to warrant another dog. Funny though, I am only half done. My dog is patient with me, but he only let me do one half of him. He's running around the back yard right now communing with the Bad Kitties and looking 1/2 foolish. That's my dog. He's so handsome. I'll get the rest of him tomorrow night.
